Noakhali is situated South-Eastern part of Bangladesh. Noakhali is a district under Chittagong Division. Main attraction of this place for tourist is Gandhi Ashram. It is bounded by comilla and chandpur on the north, the Meghna estuary and the Bay of Bengal on the south, Feni and Chittagong on the east, Laxmipur and Bhola on the west. Rivers are Meghna, Sandwip and Hatiya channel are notable. Meaning of the place is Noa means New and Khal means Canal. Noakhali district is 165 Kilometers far from Dhaka city.
