Jessore is a district in South-East of Bangladesh under Khulna Division. It was established in 1781. In 1947, It was divided among India and Bangladesh. In 1450, Pir Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali had come with other twelve Aulia and had started Islam outreach here. Another part is in now wit West Bangle India, whish is known as 24 Pargona. The district has 8 Upzila or sub- district. It has the border with India. Benapole is a land border with Bangladesh-India. Major export and import between two countries are done by this border. One of the great Poet Michael Madhusudan Dutta was born in Jessore. Date juice and flower is famous in this place. The postal code is 7400 and NWD Code is 0421. The place is one of the notable tourist spot in Bangladesh.
